As if things were not exciting enough around Revolution Atlanta! Today, we rented out our studio space at 10 Krog Studio B for the first time! It was really a fluke, because the space hasn’t even been advertised. I replied to one comment on Flickr mentioning the space, and apparently a photographers assistant found my post through Google. After a couple phone conversations and a brief visit to the studio, fashion photographer Lou Freeman booked the studio for a half day shoot. It turns out that the subject was Angela Wilford of Flip This House. If you don’t already know, Flip This House is a show on A&E where real estate investors buy houses, fix them up, then sell them, all in a short period of time in order to yield high profits. Angela is one of the local real estate master minds that Flip This House follows during the current season, season 3, of the show. Angela was a great subject, and Lou and her team were a pleasure to work with. The shoot was for the cover of the January/February edition of a new magazine called Atlanta CityMag.
There were 9 people involved in the pulling this shoot off–that should give you an idea of how grand this production truly was! Lou, the photographer, had two assistants, a hair/makeup artist, who also had an assistant, a camera man from A&E was there filming, the owner and publisher from Atlanta CityMag were all there, and of course, me! Hey…someone had to let all these people in! All in all, it was a fun few hours. We will be advertising the studio space for rent in the near future, so stay tuned for more shoots! And watch for the cover of Atlanta CityMag in January.
